Come join us for an exciting weekend at Willow Springs International Raceway. We’ll be hosting our customary Cup Race groups, Time Attack series, and our Performance Driving series on this legendary 2.5 mile road course (The Fastest Track In The West). Participants will have a great time at this legendary road course. This event always sells out so register early….

PDS and Time Attack will have 4 sessions both days. Non-Porsche cars are welcome. POC certified instructors will be available for all students. PDS and TA students must contact Dwain Dement, Chief Driving Instructor, at 949-633-9455 or 949-770-2888 so that an instructor can be assigned to work with you at no additional cost. You must call before Monday February 6th to ensure your instructor/student pairing.

On Saturday, Red Cup Racers will have 2 morning practices, qualifying, and 1 cup race. Orange Cup Racers will have a morning practice, qualifying session (split), and 2 -cup races. On Sunday, race groups will have 1 practice session, 1 qualifying session (split), and 1 cup race. There is a $50.00 fee for registered Cup Racers to record an official TA time that will be taken from your fastest lap of your Cup Race Qualifying time.

Our special EARLY BIRD PRICING ($50. discount) for this event expires Friday January 27th at midnight. The standard rates for 2-day registrations are $445. for Cup Racing and $395 for Time Attack and PDS. 1-day TA and PDS is $295.  Please note:  Last second registration at the track will be $100 higher than online pricing-no exceptions so register NOW….

Friday Testing: Willow Springs Raceway offers Friday testing in the clockwise configuration. The cost is NOT included in your POC registration. Contact the track office for details at (661) 256-6666 or info@willowspringsraceway.com

Track entry gates will stay open until 10 PM Friday night for trailer parking access.

Saturday: Gates opens at 6:00 am. Registration and tech will open at 6:30 am. There is a mandatory Driver’s Meeting at 7:15 am sharp. Track goes hot at 8:00….
Sunday: Gate opens at 6:00 am. The track goes hot at 8 am.

Club BBQ: Please join us for our traditional opening event Saturday night BBQ in the Willow Springs Clubhouse from 5PM to whenever. Tickets for the BBQ are available with your MSR registration at $20 per. Please join us for the festivities….

Vehicle tech inspection should be done before you get to the track to avoid check-in delays and last minute repairs. Tech inspection at the track will be provided by Vali Motorsports and ProMotorsports on Saturday morning. The cost is $20, payable to POC.

Tire service: Please support Track Fast Motorsports. They come to all our events (except BW) and we don’t want to lose them as we did our previous track tire vendor. Track Fast will be onsite Friday afternoon to mount your orders. They sell Yokohama, Hoosier, Toyo, Nitto and Goodyear tires. Zero sales tax and zero shipping fees if delivered to the event. Come join us for an exciting weekend at Willow Springs International Raceway for Guard Transmission’s “Tribute to Le Mans” weekend. Cup Racing (CR), Time Attack (TA) and our instructional Performance Driving Series (PDS) participants will have a great time at this legendary 2.5 mile road course.  Spots are limited so register early.  Don’t miss out!

Friday May 13th WSIR will run an open Testing day.  Track is open from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM for practice, and the gates stay open until 10 PM for trailer parking.

Early check-in Friday will be 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Coach’s Bar and Grill, located on Rosamond Blvd. approximately 2 miles from the track.  Check-in will also be available Saturday and Sunday morning in the Paddock Diner at 7:00 and 8:00 AM respectively.

Saturday May 14th: Gates open at 6:00 AM.  There is a mandatory drivers meeting 7:15 AM in the paddock diner.  Track goes hot at 8:00 AM with Time Attack 1&2.

Tribute Enduro pit set up and gridding will be available at 2:35 after the PDS drivers leave the pits for their session.  The green flag for The Tribute To LeMans enduro drops at 4:00 PM.

Sunday May 15th:  Gates open at 6:00 AM.  Registration starts at 7:30 AM with a driver’s meeting at 8:15 AM.  Track goes hot at 8:45 AM with Time Attack 1&2.

Time Attack and PDS will each have 8 sessions.  No prior experience is required for PDS.  Non-Porsche cars are welcome.  POC certified instructors will be available for Time Attack and PDS students.  Time Attack and PDS student drivers must contact Dwain Dement, Chief Driving Instructor, at 949-633-9455 or 949-770-2888 before May 6, 2015 so that an instructor can be assigned to work with you at no additional cost.

Directions:  I-5 North to Highway 14 North – go N/E past Palmdale and Lancaster to Rosamond, Ca.  Take the Rosamond Boulevard exit and go West (left) approximately 6 miles on Rosamond Boulevard to the main track entrance.  Coach’s is located on Rosamond Boulevard approximately 2 miles before the track on the north side of the street.

Camping:  Motorhome camping will be permitted on Friday and Saturday nights. Be prepared to dry camp.  Quiet time will be enforced from midnight to 6:00 AM.

Join us for the Porsche Owners Club’s second weekend event of 2016 at The Streets of Willow. The weekend will feature our Performance Driving Series along with our Time Attack classes. This event is expected to be very popular and may sell out quickly so please register ASAP as we are limited on space. There are currently three Time Attack groups and two PDS run groups scheduled. Each run group is scheduled for four on-track sessions. Those wishing to enter their results in both events may do so at an additional fee. “Same-Day” registration only available if spots are not filled – event will likely sell out prior. Please note the EARLY BIRD PRICING OFFER ends June 3rd at midnight. Event cancellations must be received by June 10th at midnight for a refund.

Check-in: Gates open at 6:30 AM. Check-in and Tech- 7:00am-8:00am

Be there early. At this track we highly recommend fresh brake fluid and sufficient brake pads!

Driver’s meeting: 8:00 AM, sharp. The Drivers Meeting is mandatory and all drivers must attend. If you miss the meeting, you are subject to a loss of scheduled track time.

Entry information: “Early Bird” entry fee for POC Members is $180.00 per day or both days for $295.00. After June 20th the prices rise to $230 per day or both days for $345. POC Membership is required for entry and available during the registration process. Entry for the event must be completed via motorsportsreg.com. The POC will be providing a free lunch for this event.

Dual Entry for Time Attack and PDS: Drivers may receive dual entry for an additional fee of $50 per day. The results from your timed runs will be entered into both the Time Attack and PDS competition. No additional track time will be allowed with dual entry.

Students:  Only 30 students can be accepted for this event.  All PDS/TA Students must be pre-registered and must contact: Dwain Dement (Chief Driving Instructor) at: (949) 633-9455 by May 28, 2016 (mandatory).  Please supply the Chief Driving Instructor with your prior track driving experience and type of car you will be driving. Requests cannot be considered after this date and Instructor assignments cannot be made at the track if you have not contacted Dwain by May 28th. There will be two mandatory 30 minute classroom sessions on Saturday for new drivers and anyone else who would like to attend. Absolutely no walk-in Students!  First time Students, please bring a copy of the Driver’s Manual to the track (it’s available on the website – please read it prior to the event).  2013-POC-Drivers-Manual-v01.pdf

POC Experienced Instructors Needed!  Please contact Dwain Dement at: (949) 633-9455 as soon as possible with the days that you are attending. As a special “THANK YOU,” a 30 minute run session will be scheduled for instructors near the end of the day.

Drivers & Cars: Limit of 2 drivers per car! This is a POC Points Event open to all makes of road cars. Complete waiver forms must be signed online during registration or at the track. Temporary car numbers will be issued if you do not have a permanent car number.

Safety equipment: Long sleeve cotton shirts and pants, shoes with socks, SNELL SA’05 or newer helmet and street belts are the only requirements for Stock, Improved and Prepared classes. (Some loaner helmets will be available). Class V, GT4 & above and highly modified non-Porsche cars require Nomex driving suit, socks and gloves as per POC GCR’s. Loaner Helmets: Loaner helmets will be available for rental at the track. If needed, please add a helmet rental to your online registration to expedite the process.

Transponders: All entries running for time MUST use a transponder (one per driver), no exceptions.  Please help us expedite registration at the track by adding a transponder rental to your entry prior to the event!  We will run five groups based on lap times and experience.

Exhaust: Closed exhaust in stock classes. Open exhaust OK where class legal.

Run groups are as follows:

Yellow PDS2    All Students and slowest Driver/Car combinations

(Beginner level passing rules)      Point-By Only Passing

White PDS1     Experienced Student Drivers or Fastest Student for 2 Students using the same car

(Beginner level passing rules)       Point-By Only Passing

Blue TA2          All TA Students and slower TA Driver/Car combinations

(Moderate level passing rules)  Point-By Only Passing

Orange TA1     Faster TA Licensed Drivers and All Time Trial Students

(Advanced level passing rules)   Open Passing

Red TA0             Fastest TA Licensed Drivers with open passing license and car classification

Passing:  Left side only with a point-by in specified sections for all groups, except for Red TA0 which will have safe open passing allowed.

Track Time: Each run group will be scheduled for 75 minutes of track time. Please see the event schedule for detailed information.

Results & Awards: Results and acknowledgments will be made at the end of each day in the STREETS building from 4:25pm-5pm. “Fastest Time of the Day” will be awarded along with track records and class victories.
